A 60 Second Cure

Good afternoon viewers! It has been quite a crazy day today, but I sure didn’t want to pass up my blog post due to that.

Today, I want to key in on my “Rosie”.  There is one specific area I want discuss because it’s something that I can’t seem to put my finger on (just yet).

So you know Lovèah Rose is 17 months and she is of course all over the place! She’s just a busy little mama lol! She’s curious about everything, she’s not a picky eater, she’s very playful & happy, she loves her siblings and usually plays well with all of them, until just recently.

I don’t know what is going on, but Rosie keeps atttacking her 6 year old sister Rèinah for no reason. She throws toys at her, runs up to her (if she’s sitting on the floor) and pulls her hair… and I mean she yanks her hair! She hits her, grabs her skin at times, like it’s pretty bad. Sometimes, it brings poor Réinah to tears! It’s confusing because Lovéah is a sweet baby!

I don’t want Réinah to have any negative feelings towards her baby sister. I want her to love her no matter what. So what I’ve been doing when Lovéah attacks her is, I would tell her no-no, you be nice to Réinah… then I would have her hug her immediately afterwards. Sometimes this works, other times it can be a thumbs down. So today, I decided to pull out the the 60 second cure

Today, I introduced Lovéah to her time out bench. We had this bench when Jeremiah was little & we knew it would come in handy. I’m so glad we didn’t throw it away! So, we’ll see how this goes.

What types of things do (or did) you do for your toddlers during this stage? Let’s talk!

Until next time, “laugh hard, love harder, capture each moment & sprinkle a little joy in someone else’s life.” – XO Shona~
