Vacation Calls: 3 Locations

Happy Monday friends! Welcome to another moment with Shona! Today, I am in the mood to talk about my need for a vacation! After all, Summer is coming to an end soon… it’s long overdue!

As a child, I always went on family vacation. I mean we traveled like everywhere! I still remember to this day some of our fun and exciting vacation spots. Do you remember Outdoor World? Ok, most people don’t know that spot, but it’s in every state! What about Bush Gardens? I know you know that one lol! I remember I won this beautiful pen with colorful pearls inside (not real pearls, but you couldn’t tell me that as a kid lol!). It was blue, cream & pink and when I tipped it upside down, the pearls would move in a gel-like substance. I thought it was the coolest pen ever! Well, I lost that pen in an elevator while on my trip. But isn’t it crazy that I still remember every detail?

Ok let’s take another trip down memory lane. Have you ever been to Hershey Park in Pennsylvania? I still remember being surrounded by chocolate! The smell of it was amazing lol! Hersey bars greeted up in the parking lot! You could see statues of chocolate everywhere! I stepped out our vehicle and my cheeks hurt from the huge smile that was across my face! Ahh.. these memories will stay with me forever.

This is one reason why I want to go on vacation. I want my children to experience this joy that just can’t be explained. I want to see their faces light up! I know one day {hopefully soon} we will be able to hit the road for our family adventure. These are some of the places I would love to visit:

Disney Cruise:

My friend {and mama bird fitness Coach} is actually enjoying her family vacation as I type! This picture is hers and I just had to share because it’s that beautiful!

I have never been on a cruise before, so when {notice the wording} we go, I want us to be there for at least a week! Imagine them meeting Disney characters and taking selfies, & visiting different cabins and enjoying children activities around the ship! That would be such a great experience for them!

Disney World:

The place where dreams come true…
I forgot to mention I am the only person in my household who has experienced fun at Disney. My husband doesn’t even think Disney World exist because he’s never been before lol! That’s pretty sad!

I know a lot has changed since I was a child, but I do know that it is still the place to be for family vacation! It’s all a matter of saving up for this BIG trip!

Myrtle Beach:

The last spot I would like my family to visit is Myrtle Beach! My husband and I went here for our 10 year wedding anniversary, so we know exactly how fun it is!

While we were there we kept saying, we’ve got to come back for our vacation! There are tons of things to do like family miniture golf, the wax museum, zip-lining, arcades, SHOPPING, explore sand art at the beach, did I mention SHOPPING?! Lol! We definitely want to make another trip!

Well, I have other places, but I will be at my computer all day lol! So I will just end with those three spots.

What places have you been to this year for your family vacation? Please feel free to leave your ideas below!

Until next time, “laugh hard, love harder, capture each moment & sprinkle a little joy in someone else’s life.” – XO Shona
